Updated data on those killed and injured by missile attack released in Odesa region

A rocket attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa region killed six people and injured 11 others.

According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war has been launched.

Initially, six people were reported dead and eight injured, but later the number of victims increased.

According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, it is already known that 11 people were wounded multiple times.

"The number of wounded as a result of the Russian missile attack has increased to 11 people. Seven people are in serious condition. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance to the victims," the statement said.

Law enforcement officers are inspecting the damaged vessel, and the final number of dead and injured, as well as the full list of destruction and damage, is being established.

In the evening of October 9, Russian occupation forces fired another missile attack on Odesa region. The port infrastructure of the region was under attack.

The attack also damaged a civilian ship flying the Panamanian flag, the container ship Shui Spirit. This is the third foreign vessel to be attacked by Russians in the last four days.

Before that, Russia attacked a civilian vessel in the ports of Odesa region. A ballistic missile damaged the Palau-flagged OPTIMA. One person died as a result of the enemy attack. Five other foreign nationals, crew members, were injured.

The day before, on October 6, Russians fired on the civilian shipPARESA flying the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis, which was loaded with corn for export. It happened near one of the berths in the Pivdennyi seaport. It was the 20th civilian vessel to be damaged by Russian attacks.
