Ukrainian Police Identify Russian Servicemen Behind Looting in Bilozerka

Ukrainian law enforcement officers have identified two Russian servicemen who committed looting in the temporarily occupied village of Bilozerka in Kherson region in April 2022.

This is stated in the text of the suspicion on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the investigation, 28-year-old Stanislav Asonov and 36-year-old Aleksey Fedchenko, servicemen of the 10th Separate Special Forces Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, broke into the house of a local resident, where they had been living for a long time, drank alcohol and looted the house.

According to the Center for Investigative Journalism, while retreating, the occupiers stole TVs, refrigerators, a freezer, a gas stove, alcohol and other property, causing the owner 230 thousand hryvnias in damages.

Investigators documented their crimes, in particular, thanks to photographs taken by the Russian military in the seized house.

The National Police of Ukraine notified them in absentia of suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war. They face 8 to 12 years in prison for this crime.

Earlier, the SBU exposed the activities of Oleksandra Pshenychna, the former starosta of Zaozerne village, who, after the occupation, collaborated with the enemy and ran an illegal administration. In addition, the head of Radensk and Chelburda villages Oleksandr Filenko was served with a notice of suspicion .

Meanwhile, two "dnr" militants will be brought to justice in court for the abuse of a civilian in Kherson region.

Law enforcers also identified another "dnr" militant who, together with an accomplice, abused and raped a resident of the Kalynivka village territorial community under the threat of execution and amputation. The man in question is a 48-year-old resident of Debaltseve, Donetsk region, who was previously convicted of serious crimes and was "serving" in the "109th rifle regiment, 1st army corps of the DPR" with the rank of "private".
