Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 632, which will change the terms of payment for electricity, will come into effect on April 1 and plans changes for owners of two-zone and three-zone meters.

The majority of the population will continue to pay UAH 4.32 per kilowatt-hour as before, according to the Economic News.

However, consumers with three-zone meters will pay UAH 6.48 per kilowatt-hour during peak consumption periods - from 8:00 to 11:00 and from 20:00 to 22:00, although they will have advantages during off-peak and nighttime hours. At half-peak time, they will pay UAH 4.34 per kilowatt-hour, and at night - UAH 1.7 per kilowatt-hour.

Different tariffs are also provided for people with dual-zone meters. During the daytime, from 7:00 to 23:00, they will pay UAH 4.34 per kilowatt-hour, and at night - UAH 2.16.

An important change will be the termination of special tariffs for households with electric heating. Starting from April, they will pay UAH 2.64 per kilowatt-hour for consumption of up to 2,000 kilowatt-hours per month. If they exceed this limit, the tariff will increase to UAH 4.32 per kilowatt-hour.

The current tariff was established by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 31, 2024. This document prolonged the provisions on the assignment of special obligations (PSO) to electricity market participants, and set a single fixed price at UAH 4.32 until April 30, 2025 inclusive.

In July 2022, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) decided to increase tariffs for centralized water supply and sewerage. The Commission decided to increase water tariffs from July 1, 2023 by an average of 32% depending on the water utility.
