Two people were killed in Odesa: Russian forces have been attacking the city since this evening

Odesa and the Odesa region have been under constant Russian air attacks since the evening of July 16.

According to Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, two people were killed as a result of the attacks.

Among the dead was a woman who was walking in a park with her children. The children survived. Ten people were also injured. In the Odesa district, a service station building was destroyed by shelling and subsequently caught fire. The fire also spread to cars parked nearby. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties or injuries. 

  Meanwhile, Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported that 11 residential buildings in the city’s Khadzhibey district were damaged as a result of an attack on the evening of July 16. 

On the night of July 17, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on July 16, the Russians attacked Ukraine with one X-31P anti-radar missile, seven X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles, and 130 Shahed-type strike drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and “Parody”-type decoy drones.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had intercepted five X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles and 115 enemy Shahed-type UAVs, Gerber, Italmas, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country.

Two missiles and eight attack drones were confirmed to have struck seven locations, and debris from downed drones was found at five locations. Additionally, an X-31P anti-radar missile failed to reach its target.

On the morning of July 16, the day of mourning in Odesa began to the sound of air raid sirens and a new Russian attack. On the morning of July 16, the occupiers attacked the city again. A day of mourning was declared in Odesa for the three people who died as a result ofthemorning Russianstrikethe previous day.
