Two occupiers' attack drones shot down over Kherson region at night

In Kherson region, during a night drone attack, the Air Defense Forces destroyed two occupiers' Shahed attack drones.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Air Defense Command, Oleksandr Prokudin.

The official said in a statement that Antonivka, Beryslav, Burgunka, Bilozerka, Blahovishchenske, Tomyna Balka, Chervonyi Mayak, Ponyativka, Pervomaiske, Pryozerne, Sadove, Komyshany, Mykhailivka, Olhivka and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes yesterday.

It is noted that during the shelling, the Russian occupiers hit an educational institution; residential areas of the region's settlements, including 17 private houses. The occupiers also damaged gas pipelines, an outbuilding, a garage and private cars.

The Russian occupation forces fired 10 times at Kherson city territorial community from 6:00 a.m. on August 19 to 6:00 a.m. on August 20. Damage was recorded in Kherson, Antonivka, Komyshany, Blahovishchenske, Sadove, and Pryozerne. In particular, five private houses, a garage, a car, and a gas pipeline were damaged. As a result of the Russian hostile shelling of Kherson city territorial, three people, including a 14-year-old girl, sustained injuries of varying severity over the past day. They were provided with the necessary medical care.

According to Prokudin, four people were injured on August 19 in the right-bank part of Kherson region as a result of Russian aggression, including one child.

Earlier it was reported that on August 18, several civilians were injured as a result of Russian aggression. Thus, at about 11:40 a.m., the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a street in Kherson. The explosion caused shrapnel wounds to a 40-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman. Also, on August 18, 2024, at about 17:30, the Russian army attacked the village of Kindiyka using a UAV. A shell hit a civilian car on a street in the village. Five civilians inside sustained injuries of varying degrees.
