Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two more crew members who died on a ship flying the flag of the Republic of Togo, which was struck by Russia in a port in the Odesa region.
This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Administration.
This brings the death toll to five crew members, while the number of injured had previously reached 10.
Earlier reports indicated that three crew members of the ship, which was moored in a port in the Odesa region, had died after the vessel was struck by Russian munitions.The numberof people injured in the Russian attack this morning has also risen to five. Among the injured is a five-year-old child, who received the necessary medical care without being hospitalized. The other injured individuals were transported to medical facilities. They are in moderate condition and are receiving the necessary medical care.
Moldova also reported that a drone flew into its territory, crashed to the ground, and exploded.
Since the evening of July 12, Odesa and the Odesa region have been under air attack by Russian forces using drones and missiles. Also on the evening of July 12, a drone struck the roof of a high-rise building in the Raiduzhny residential area, causing a fire. Another drone damaged the roof of a home improvement store. Fires broke out but have since been extinguished. Information regarding casualties is being verified. A 51-year-old man was injured in the enemy attack. He was hospitalized.
The night before, Russian occupiers alsoterrorizedthe Odesa region with airstrikes throughout the night. As a result of the drone attack, residential buildings, cars, and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In the Odesa district, buildings and equipment on the grounds of an infrastructure facility were damaged.
