Two doctors of a private clinic in Odesa were served suspicion notices over the death of Andan Kivan

Police investigators have notified two doctors of a private clinic in Odesa of suspicion of improper performance of professional duties over the death of a well-known Odesa developer Adnan Kivan.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, according to the conclusions of the examination, with timely diagnosis, proper assessment and proper treatment, the patient could have lived much longer. However, the doctors of the private clinic committed significant violations in the provision of medical care. As a result, the patient developed sepsis, which led to his death against the background of the oncological process.

According to the police, investigators have gathered sufficient evidence to confirm the causal link between the improper actions of medical professionals and the patient's death. Based on the collected materials, a surgeon and an oncologist of a private medical institution were notified of suspicion of improper performance of professional duties, which led to serious consequences for the patient. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of up to two years in prison with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to five years.

A motion for round-the-clock house arrest and removal of the defendants from their positions is being prepared.

On October 28, 2024, KADORR Group announced the death in Odesa of the company's founder , multimillionaire businessman of Arab-Syrian origin Adnan Kiwan. Adnan Kiwan would have turned 62 years old. In Odesa, he is known as the owner of the KADORR Group company, the Kyiv Post and Ukrainian Information Service publications, and Channel 7.
