A resident of Mykolaiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison for passing coordinates of Ukrainian military and civilian targets to the FSB. He offered to strike the city with Russian missiles, including Daggers.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU Office in Mykolaiv region.

The resident of Mykolaiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for high treason committed under martial law. The verdict was based on the SBU evidence base.

As investigators found out, the man acted in the interests of Russian special services, in particular the FSB. He collected and transmitted to the enemy the exact coordinates of the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city. In addition, the agent hunted for the geolocation of civilian infrastructure - these were objects that had no military significance but could become targets for missile attacks.

According to the SBU, the offender not only recorded the location of Ukrainian forces, but also offered Russians to strike them with missiles, including high-precision Daggers.

Counterintelligence detected the spy in time: he was detained, his criminal activity was documented, and a cell phone with evidence of communication with FSB representatives was seized.

The investigation revealed that the traitor was a 47-year-old resident of Mykolaiv. He came to the attention of the aggressor because of his activity in pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, where he spread anti-Ukrainian comments and openly called for missile strikes on the city.

The court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - high treason committed under martial law.

SBU counterintelligence also exposed two informants of Russian special services who were passing intelligence on Ukrainian combat aircraft in Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions to the enemy. One of them is a mobilized serviceman from Mykolaiv region, the other is a resident of Kyiv region who agreed to cooperate with the FSB in exchange for a promised monetary reward.

Both offenders were served a notice of suspicion under the article on high treason. They face punishment up to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
