The Verkhovna Rada adopted a new law on tax increases

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed a bill to increase taxes. The adopted document, in particular, does not provide for an increase in the military tax for the military.

This was reported by MP from the Voice party Yaroslav Zheleznyak, who was in the parliamentary hall.

On Thursday, October 10, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the draft law 11416-d on tax increases in the second reading, with 247 MPs voting in favor.

What changes were adopted in the parliament:

The amendment No. 988, which was taken into account by the Committee, did not receive any votes.

Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that more than 1,300 amendments had been submitted to the document, which were planned to be considered by nightfall and voted on as a whole the next morning.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada approved a draft law exempting citizens under 25 from mobilization. Draft law No. 11379-d was adopted as a whole. A total of 311 MPs voted in favor of the draft law.

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed a law on renaming cities in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. The Rada renamed Yuzhnoukrainsk in Mykolaiv region to Pivdenoukrainsk. The Rada also renamed Yuzhne, Odesa district, Odesa region, to Pivdenne.

MP Artem Dmytruk, who fled Ukraine, was removed from his position as a member of the Verkhovna Rada's Law Enforcement Committee. Another fugitive MP, Andriy Odarchenko of the Servant of the People faction, was also expelled from the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy.

Earlier, on the recommendation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to restrict the use of Telegram. However, the use of the messenger for personal purposes outside of work is not prohibited.
