The shelling of Mykolaiv on August 2 caused 215 million in damage to the city

The Russian shelling of Mykolaiv on August 2, 2025, destroyed residential buildings and Ukrposhta offices and caused more than UAH 215 million in environmental damage. Seven people were injured in the shelling.

This was reported by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District.

The missile strike completely destroyed three private houses, while 23 other private and 12 apartment buildings were damaged. In addition, six cars and a building materials store were damaged.

The State Environmental Inspectorate estimated the environmental damage at over UAH 215 million. The total area of contamination amounted to 5,704 square meters, and the volume of construction waste and debris was 3,139 cubic meters. Experts recorded all the damage and drew up 20 inspection reports to assess the consequences.

At night, on July 30, at 00:20, the enemy struck the town of Ochakiv with a multiple rocket launcher system. As a result, eleven private houses, one apartment building, three cars, five outbuildings were damaged, and a fire broke out on dry grass and one of the damaged buildings.

In the morning, on July 31, at about five o'clock, Russian troops shelled Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region, with a multiple rocket launcher system. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. The information is not yet final. Yesterday, the scenario in the city was the same. Eleven private houses, one apartment building, three cars, five outbuildings were damaged , and a fire broke out on dry grass and one of the damaged buildings.
