The Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support commented on a video in which a woman grabs a military officer from one of the centers and claims to be taking him hostage.

The video was posted on a number of Telegram channels, and it shows the soldier pushing the woman, and she grabbing him by the strap of his bag hanging over his shoulder, and then grabbing his arm. However, he gets free from the "grip" and tries to hide behind the fence of the shopping center, but the woman grabs him again by the strap of his bag and the video is interrupted.

In its commentary on the situation, the regional TCC called the video manipulative, stating that it only shows the end of the incident, ignoring the causes and circumstances that led to it.

According to the TCC, on August 1, a civilian at the entrance to the TCC and JV building staged a provocation and behaved extremely aggressively near the sensitive facility.

"The citizen reacted to the remarks of a soldier of the security company, who was performing his duties at the time, with rude language and instead of drawing conclusions and stopping her actions, attacked him. In order to avoid further escalation of the conflict, the serviceman returned to the territory of the facility," the TCC said.

They also emphasized that the serviceman who was attacked is serving in the TCC and JV after a serious combat injury sustained at the front.
