The Odessa region ranked second in terms of the number of new businesses with foreign owners

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Specifically, 110 companies with foreign owners were established in the Odesa region. This accounts for 16 percent of the total number in Ukraine. The Lviv region ranked third, with 78 companies established, or 11 percent of the total. The top five also included the Kyiv region—22 companies (3%)—and the Khmelnytskyi region—20 (3%).</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Overall, in the first 7 months of 2026, 6 percent more companies with foreign owners were established in Ukraine than during the same period last year. Citizens of 65 countries are represented among the owners of these new companies. In another 5 businesses, the beneficiaries are listed as stateless persons. At the same time, 13 companies have owners from multiple countries. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The number of companies with owners from China saw the largest increase. Over the course of the year, the number of such firms nearly tripled—114 new businesses compared to 41 in January–July 2025. Companies with owners from Turkey rank second in terms of number. However, it is worth noting that the number of such firms decreased by 6 percent over the year. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier, it was reported that from January through June 2026, the Odesa region exported services worth $282,228,700. Switzerland remains the main export destination.

It was previously reported that 39 companies withBulgarian owners are registered in the Odesa region. Only Kyiv has more—123.

The Dniester Wind Farm generates the highest revenue among Bulgarian-owned facilities in the Odesa region. In 2025, its revenue stood at 1.56 billion hryvnias. To optimize revenue and ensure financial stability, the Dniester Wind Farm signeditsfirst commercialcontractfor difference (CfD) in early 2025 to supply electricity directly to an industrial consumer.The facility’s total capacity is 100 MW.
