Earlier, on August 6, Russian invaders attacked a bus carrying civilians in the Kherson region with a drone. Six people were injured as a result of the strike.  The operator of the FPV drone deliberately aimed the drone at the bus carrying civilians. The passengers were mostly elderly people on their way to work in the fields.

Later that same day, an occupier drone struck a route bus in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Five passengers are known to have been injured, including a 15-year-old teenager. The injured teenager was hospitalized in moderate condition. He sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his face and limbs. Two men, aged 58 and 53, as well as two women, aged 37 and 54, were also taken to the hospital. The victims suffered blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds.
