The number of people injured in the airstrike on Kherson has risen to 20

The number of people injured in the Russian airstrike on Kherson’s Central District on August 1 has risen to 20. On August 2, two more local residents sought medical attention.

According to the Kherson City Military Administration, a 57-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with blast injury and acoustic trauma. After receiving treatment, she was discharged for outpatient care.

Later, another 57-year-old Kherson resident sought medical attention. He was diagnosed with concussion, blast injury, and acute stress reaction. Thus, the number of people injured as a result of the airstrike on the city’s Central District has risen to 20.

In addition, on August 2 at around 10:00 a.m., Russian forces again struck the Zelenivskyi Starosta District of the Kherson community with guided aerial bombs.

The attack damaged social infrastructure facilities. No reports of casualties have been received.

As a reminder, on August 1 at around 4:00 p.m., Russian forces again shelled Kherson with guided aerial bombs (GAB). A 54-year-old woman was killed in the attack. Another 18peoplesustained various injuries, and ten of them were taken to the hospital. In total, over the past 24 hours, one person was killed and 24 were wounded—including one child—as a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson community.

In addition, on July 31, the Russians dropped four guided aerial bombs onthe centerof Kherson. The strikes hit an educational institution and residential buildings. As a result of the destruction, people were trapped under the rubble.
