The number of new businesses exceeds the number of closed ones in the Mykolaiv region

As of June 1, 2026, more than 105,900 taxpayers were registered in the Mykolaiv region. This is 956 more taxpayers than at the beginning of 2025.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Mykolaiv region.

According to the tax service, 52,488 legal entities and 53,483 individual entrepreneurs are registered in the region.

Between January and May 2026, 3,451 new business entities were registered in the Mykolaiv region. Among them are 373 legal entities and 3,078 individual entrepreneurs.

At the same time, 2,495 business entities ceased operations during this period, including 106 legal entities and 2,389 individual entrepreneurs.

Thus, the number of newly created businesses exceeded the number of those that ceased operations by nearly a thousand.

The tax office also reported that as of early June, more than 1.1 million people were registered in the State Register of Individual Taxpayers in the Mykolaiv region. Another 2,571 people are registered in the Separate Register of the State Register of Individual Taxpayers.

The State Tax Service thanked taxpayers for fulfilling their obligations in good faith and reminded them that state registration is a prerequisite for conducting business. The tax authorities urged citizens who systematically sell goods or provide services to register as business entities in a timely manner.

Recently, Intent wrote about the wealthiest deputies in the Mykolaiv region, who have millions in income and hundreds of millions in savings.

The deputies also declared hundreds of real estate properties, large land plots, and millions in assets.

Earlier, we reported that residents of the Mykolaiv region declared nearly UAH 866 million in income over three months, and the number of millionaires has increased significantly. This year, there are 172 such individuals, which is 65 more than last year. They declared a total of UAH 604 million in income.
