Deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council declared over UAH 153 million in income and almost UAH 295 million in cash savings in 2025.

The rating was published by journalists of Intent and the Center for Public Investigations after analyzing the declarations in the NACP register.

Valeriy Bednyi once again declared the highest income among the MPs. He declared over UAH 40.8 million in personal income for the year. At the same time, compared to the previous year, his income decreased significantly - his declaration for 2024 included more than UAH 98 million.

The second highest income earner was Serhiy Shulhach with a total family income of over UAH21 million. A significant part of this amount was declared by his wife. The top three also included Vitaliy Shevchenko, who earned over UAH 19 million last year. Journalists attribute the growth of his wealth to dividends and family income.

In addition to earnings, journalists also analyzed the amount of savings of the deputies. In total, the deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council declared almost UAH 295 million in monetary assets, including cash, bank accounts, and foreign currency savings.

Valeriy Bednyi is again among the leaders in terms of savings, having declared tens of millions of hryvnias in various currencies. Serhiy Shulhach and Vitaliy Shevchenko also took high positions in the savings rating. In addition to money, the MPs' declarations include land plots, houses, apartments, cars, corporate rights and other family assets.

In total, the journalists were able to find declarations of 52 deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council. Another seven deputies are not listed in the NACP's open register. Some of them did not file declarations because they were serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or because they had recently become deputies.

The authors of the study note that the current declaration season has once again shown a significant contrast in the financial situation of local elected officials - from relatively modest incomes to multi-million dollar fortunes and large cash savings.
