The night of Russian terror in Odessa claimed the lives of seven people

Odesa endured a night of massive attacks, with missiles and drones striking the city in several waves. The shelling resulted in deaths and injuries, as well as damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

Six people were killed in the shelling. Another 11 people were injured, with injuries ranging in severity—all victims are receiving the necessary medical care.

Civilian infrastructure sustained serious damage. In the Khadzhibey district, a residential building was damaged, and the blast wave shattered more than 300 windows in several buildings. Damage was also reported in one of the parks in the Primorsky district.

From the very first minutes after the attacks, public utilities, rescue workers, and medical personnel have been on the ground. An operational headquarters was set up in the city to coordinate the response to the shelling and assist the victims.

On the evening of April 15, the city’s residential area came under enemy fire. A shell struck a nine-story building. As a result of the strike on a residential building in Odesa, apartments on the 5th through 7th floors of the building were damaged and a fire broke out. Six people were injured, and one person died. One of the victims also died.

In addition, a drone strike damaged the roof of a private residential building in the Berezovsky district. A fire broke out on the adjacent property, which has already been extinguished by rescue workers.

On the morning of April 15, Russian troops again attacked the port infrastructure of the Odesa region with attack drones. The attack resulted in strikes that caused fires at the facilities. Warehouses and administrative buildings that are part of the region’s port infrastructure were damaged.
