During the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format, the Netherlands announced a new package of support for Ukraine's maritime security worth 400 million euros.

According to Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans, the package includes ships, boats and maritime drones.

"The package will include more than 100 ships, patrol boats, transport boats, interceptors, special operations ships. That is a wide range of more than 100 vessels," Brekelmans said.

According to him, the package also includes more than 50 maritime drones, as well as weapons systems, sensors, spare parts and training for Ukrainian specialists.

"This is a complete package to strengthen Ukraine's maritime security. This is very important because we see that Russian threats, both in the Black Sea and around Kherson, are growing. It is very important for Ukraine to protect itself from this," the Dutch Defense Minister said.

He added that the Netherlands wants to support Ukraine in the issues of freedom of navigation and preservation of trade sea routes.

Earlier, the Netherlands allocated more than 120 million euros to Ukraine. The vast majority of the funds, namely 87 million euros, were used to purchase 155 mm artillery shells. Another 25 million euros were allocated to the International Fund for Ukraine, led by the United Kingdom. It is used to finance the purchase of military equipment directly from manufacturers. This includes air defense systems, ammunition, and spare parts. The Netherlands allocated €10 million to strengthen cyber defense in Ukraine.

The Estonian government also supported the proposal of Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to send another military aid package to Ukraine. The new package includes naval uniforms, surveillance devices, sights, ballistic protection equipment, and various types of ammunition. According to the minister, the aid was formed from the reserves of the Estonian Defense Forces, taking into account the needs of Ukraine and without prejudice to Estonia's defense capabilities.
