During a visit to southern Ukraine, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi assessed the needs of the 122nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade—particularly regarding interceptor drones, which the military refers to as “pisyuns”—and delivered five “Sting” drones.

This was reported on the 122nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade’s Facebook page

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached that Lviv will soon help meet a significant portion of the brigade’s needs for interceptor drones. These drones are used to counter enemy aerial targets.

The commander of the 122nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Maksymiv, thanked Sadovyi and the community of Lviv for their support of the military and their contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of Odesa and southern Ukraine.

As a token of gratitude, the commander presented the mayor of Lviv with a symbolic token of appreciation, crafted by the brigade’s soldiers from the wreckage of a downedRussian “Shahed.”

The brigade noted that this agreement exemplifies solidarity among Ukrainian communities. Lviv will help defend Odesa because, as the military emphasized, “there are no ‘foreign cities’ when it comes to defending Ukraine.”

STING is ananti-aircraft interceptor drone, a Ukrainian-designed unmanned aerial vehicle intended to intercept Iranian kamikaze drones, such as the Shahed-136. STING was developed by the Ukrainian group “Wild Hornets.”
