The Main Intelligence Directorate in Crimea struck two S-400 launchers and an Orion antenna

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukrainian intelligence operatives destroyed two launchers of the Russian S-400 "Triumph" anti-aircraft missile system, as well as an "Orion" drone control antenna.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the operation was carried out in early August 2026 by operators from “Group 13,” a special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

To strike these high-value targets, the intelligence operatives used Magura multi-purpose maritime platforms, which carry FPV drones.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the estimated losses of the Russian occupation army as a result of the operation could reach tens of millions of dollars.

The intelligence agency noted that the operation will continue, emphasizing that the armed struggle is ongoing.

On the night of August 8–9, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck an S-400 “Triumph” air defense missile system, four additional elements of Russian air defense, and three Russian vessels in the Black Sea.

In addition, according to the UAF, an oil tanker and two dry cargo ships used as part of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” were struck in the Black Sea.

Earlier,Valeriy Zaluzhny, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom and former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stated that the Ukrainian military had developed a planfor theremoteisolationof the temporarily occupied Crimea as early as 2023. However, at that time, Western partners did not believe in its effectiveness.

Ukraine is conducting a large-scale campaign to isolate occupied Crimea by targeting the peninsula’s logistics infrastructure—the Kerch Bridge, ferry crossings, oil depots, ports, and ships of the Russian Federation’s “shadow fleet.”
