The next session of the Mykolaiv City Council will take place in late June. Council members will consider budgetary, land, and property issues, including privatization, tax breaks, and the transfer of certain properties to the regional government.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych signed an order convening the 54th regular session of the 8th Mykolaiv City Council.

According to the document, the plenary session will take place on June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in a remote format via videoconference. As usual, the cityplans to broadcast the plenary session online.

The agenda includes three main categories of issues: budgetary, current affairs, and land-related matters. At the same time, a number of draft resolutions have already been prepared for consideration by the deputies, concerning the management of municipal property, privatization, and support for the city’s enterprises.

In particular, deputies are being asked to approve the write-off of certain fixed assets of municipal property. The session also plans to consider amendments to the decision approving the list of small-scale privatization objects that can be sold through auctions.

A separate issue will be the establishment of tax breaks on local taxes and fees for land plots for 2026. The decision may affect the operating conditions for certain categories of taxpayers within the community.

In addition, council members must decide on the transfer of one of the municipal property assets of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community to the joint ownership of the territorial communities of Mykolaiv Oblast.

The agenda also includes items regarding the granting of usufruct rights to certain municipal property assets. Such rights are planned to be granted to the regional municipal enterprise "Mykolaivoblteploenergo" and the municipal enterprise "Mykolaiv Parks." In addition, deputies will consider the transfer of an asset of a different ownership form into municipal ownership, with its subsequent transfer for use to the municipal enterprise "Mykolaivoblteploenergo."

Among the important infrastructure issues is the transfer of ownerless water supply networks into municipal ownership. After the ownership rights are formalized, they are planned to be transferred to the balance sheet of the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivvodokanal,” which is to ensure the further maintenance and operation of these networks.

It is expected that the final list of issues may be supplemented with new draft resolutions by the date of the session. A significant portion of them will concern the effective management of community property, the development of urban infrastructure, and the formulation of Mykolaiv’s financial policy for the coming period.

At the last city council session, following failed votes, a dispute erupted between MayorOleksandr Senkevychand council members regarding the responsibility of the factions and the council’s work.
