The construction of a new Safety Center to protect the population from emergencies was initiated in a village in Kherson Oblast. The project was partially funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) as part of the Ukraine Recovery Program.
This is evidenced by data from the DREAM ecosystem.
In the Kherson region, the construction of a new Security Center is planned in the village of Arkhangelske, Beryslav district. As noted in the project description, the community suffered significant damage during the hostilities: residential buildings, educational, cultural, medical facilities, utilities, and critical infrastructure were damaged.
Much of the agricultural land remains mined, and due to attempts by local residents to carry out demining on their own, there has been an increase in field fires.
The community includes 22 settlements, and the workload of the two fire and rescue units in Vysokopillya has increased significantly. To improve the level of civil protection, prevent emergencies and quickly eliminate their consequences, a new Safety Center is planned to be built in Arkhangelske village.
The 567 m² Safety Center will include a control room, training and rest rooms for rescuers, bathrooms, cloakrooms, a workshop and a garage for emergency equipment. It will be equipped with the necessary equipment to extinguish fires, eliminate emergencies, and ensure civil protection of the community.
The project budget is UAH 24.9 million. The development of design and estimate documentation for more than UAH 769 thousand was ordered back in 2023. This is exactly what the European Investment Bank provided funds for under the Ukraine Recovery Program. The development of the design and estimate documentation was done by Archivizn LLC. The tender has not yet been announced, and the application for funding has been submitted to the State Fund for Regional Development.
Also, in the village of Novopavlivka, Beryslav district, they plan to build a modern Safety Center, where rescuers and a police station will work under one roof. By the way, here, too, a company with a similar name, Architects Engineering, received more than UAH 769 thousand from the local budget for engineering design services.
