Judges of the Tarutino District Court of Odesa Region have elected Petro Kravchenko as the court's chairman by secret ballot.

According to the court's press service, he started working in his new status on May 8, replacing Natalia Toncheva, who became the court's chairman in 2020.

Petro Kravchenko graduated from the Odesa National Law Academy in 2005 with a degree in law. In 2011, he received his PhD in Law. In September 2016, he was appointed a judge of Tarutino District Court of Odesa Region. In December 2021, he was appointed to the same position for an unlimited term. Currently, there are three judges in the Tarutino District Court out of 4 according to the staffing table.

What is he rich in?

The judge's declaration indicates that he does not own any real estate or vehicles. Three apartments with an area of 146.2 square meters each in Odesa and a non-residential building of 42.4 square meters belong to his wife, Tetiana Tokarska. She is also listed as the owner of a 2020 Jeep Renegade, purchased in July 2022, and a 2022 Honda HR-V, purchased in January 2024.

Cars with a background

It should be noted that in December 2025, the Public Integrity Council declared that Petro Kravchenko did not meet the criteria of integrity and professional ethics because of these cars. The PIC stated that in his declaration, the judge underestimated the cost of a Jeep Renegade by almost eight times. In particular, the judge noted that he purchased the car for 45 thousand hryvnias, while according to information from the Copart auction (USA), a car with an identical VIN code was sold for 8.6 thousand dollars. The Honda HR-V (2022) purchased in January 2024 cost UAH 357 thousand according to the judge's declaration, while the real cost at the auction, including customs clearance, according to the PIC, was about USD 13.7 thousand.

The PIC also pointed out that there was a failure to declare his wife's apartment. Since 2012, his wife has owned half of a 158.3-square-meter apartment in Odesa (based on a court decision). This property was not listed in the candidate's declarations, which previously led to the PIC's conclusion about dishonesty in 2019.

What else is in the declaration?

Also, the judge's declaration for 2025 does not contain a 626-square-meter land plot in the village of Molodzhne, which was in the declaration for 2024, and he has stopped using his sister's car, a 2023 Hyundai Elantra.

The income of the judicial family in 2025 was Petro Kravchenko's salary of UAH 1 million 227.8 thousand and Tetiana Tokarska's income from independent professional activity of UAH 1 million 370.9 thousand. Petro Kravchenko's savings amount to UAH 80 thousand.

The Law and Businesspublication predicted that Petro Kravchenko will not be the head of the court for long, given that he has already been recognized as worthy of working in the Odesa Court of Appeal.
