In Mykolaiv, a court imposed a preventive measure on an instructor of the recruitment and staffing department suspected of a scheme to extort a bribe to "resolve an issue" with the Military Commissariat. According to the investigation, the man and his accomplice demanded $500 to remove a person liable for military service from the wanted list.

As Intent has learned from the ruling of the Vitovskyi District Court of Mykolaiv Oblast, the suspect worked as an instructor at the recruitment and staffing department. Investigators believe that he acted in collusion with another person involved in the case.

According to the investigation, the suspect used his official connections and managed to enter false data into the Oberig system about the alleged failure of a student of Mykolaiv National Agrarian University to appear at the TCC. After that, the defendants began to extort $500 from the student for "resolving the issue" and removing him from the wanted list.

The case file states that the student was entitled to a deferral from mobilization due to his studies, so he turned to law enforcement. The transfer of money was documented by law enforcement under the control of the investigation.

The court noted that the suspect is charged with receiving an undue benefit for influencing TCC officials, committed by a group of people by prior conspiracy.

Despite the gravity of the article, the court imposed a personal commitment as a measure of restraint. He was banned from leaving the Mykolaiv region without the permission of the investigator or the court, ordered to surrender his passport and not to contact witnesses in the case.

Recently, the Korabelnyi District Court of Mykolaiv overturned the decision of the Military Commission to impose a fine of UAH 17,000 on a person liable for military service who was accused of failing to update his military registration data.

Also, in Mykolaiv, the court extended the detention of a man suspected of administering a Telegram community where the workplaces of representatives of the TCC and mobilization groups were published. According to the investigation, the channel had more than 34 thousand members.
