The State Land Bank Limited Liability Company has won a court case over 5,400 hectares of state agricultural land in Odesa region that had been under arrest for more than a year and a half.

According to the press service of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, after the land was unblocked, it was put up for online auctions on Prozorro.Sale.

The land in question is in Berezivskyi district of Odesa region, which was previously in permanent use by a state-owned enterprise managed by the Ministry of Justice. Due to a legal dispute with the Petrovirivka village council, these plots were under arrest for more than a year and a half and were actually idle. During this time, the state, according to the SPFU, lost the opportunity to receive annual revenues of about UAH 19.3 million.

"For more than a year and a half, we have been fighting to lift the arrest from these state-owned lands. Today, we finally have a positive court decision that unblocked more than 5.4 thousand hectares of fertile land in Odesa region. We are talking about 81 attractive land plots for farmers, including large tracts of up to 600 hectares. This is the result of the joint work of the State Land Bank, the State Property Fund and the State Geocadastre," said Yaroslav Yaroslavsky, CEO of the State Land Bank.

The area of the plots varies from 1 to almost 600 hectares, and the average size is about 67 hectares. The land remains in state ownership, and farmers can compete for the right to use it for up to 14 years through open online auctions.

Earlier, the Nauka recreation center, which was sold at an auction last year with 74 bidders, was put back on the auction block because the winner did not sign the auction protocol, and the next bidder did not sign it either.
