School meals to rise in price in Mykolaiv from September 1 - new prices

In Mykolaiv, the executive committee decided to change the maximum cost of catering services in educational institutions. The new prices will take effect on September 1, 2025.

The decision was published on the website of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The decision applies to pupils of all ages, children of privileged categories, as well as pupils of specialized schools and vocational schools.

In schools with full-time or mixed format education, the maximum cost of meals for primary school students who receive free meals at the expense of the state (up to 70%) and local budgets is as follows:

Preferential categories of students (children of combatants, low-income, other categories):

Starting September 1, the following maximum prices will be set at a special school for visually impaired children, where students are fed three meals a day:

Vocational education institutions:

Earlier, the cost of meals for schoolchildren in Mykolaiv was UAH 50.50 per day for students aged 6-11, UAH 60.20 for children aged 11-14, and UAH 69.90 for teenagers aged 14-18.

In March, the government allocated more than UAH 6.5 million to improve hot meals for primary school students in Mykolaiv region. The money will be used to upgrade school kitchens, purchase quality products and introduce modern nutrition standards. The funds were provided by the UN World Food Program and are to be distributed among 26 communities in the region.
