This is evidenced by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate a subvention from the state budget to improve the quality of hot meals for primary school students in schools in Mykolaiv region.

A total of UAH 6 million 569 thousand 600 is allocated for this purpose, which will be used to modernize school canteens, purchase quality products and ensure compliance with modern nutrition standards.

The funding comes from the UN World Food Program and will be distributed among 26 territorial communities in the region. The funds have been transferred to a special account of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and will be used to improve the nutritional conditions of schoolchildren.

Primary school students in Mykolaiv will continue to receive free meals until the end of the current school year. In addition, the city is considering providing high school students with free lunches at the expense of the state budget. Mykolaiv received UAH 16 million in subventions from the state, allocated by the Cabinet of Ministers last year.

Recently, Voznesensk's Lyceum No. 10 started overhauling its canteen and dining hall. The project worth more than UAH 12 million will create a hub kitchen that will provide quality meals not only for lyceum students but also for other educational institutions.

And the project to renovate the canteen at Mykolaiv Gymnasium is among the most expensive in the country. In total, contracts worth UAH 246.8 million were concluded to modernize canteens in educational institutions in Mykolaiv region.

Last year, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the allocation of subventions for the purchase of equipment and modernization of school canteens. Four educational institutions in Mykolaiv received subventions totaling about UAH 80 million.
