Vladimir Saldo, head of the occupation administration in the Kherson region, announced that the occupied region would be turned into a testing ground for the latest Russian weapons under real combat conditions.
This was reportedby the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
According to Saldo, the region’s geographical location and proximity to the front lines facilitate this.
He stated that the Russians are testing powerful hexacopters in the Kherson region, among other things. As he noted, to counter UAVs, the Russian military is using various weapons, electronic warfare systems, and equipment designed to disrupt the drones’ navigation systems.
Earlier, Volodymyr Saldo had already reported on tests of cargo-delivery drones in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.
The Crimean Tatar Resource Center noted that the use of occupied Ukrainian territories for military purposes has become a systematic practice of Russia. According to the organization, the occupied territories are used not only to house military facilities but also to test weapons and develop military technologies.
As Intent previously reported, the Russians have received orders to conduct so-called “free hunting” of motor vehicles in the Kherson region. To carry out their terrorist plans, they have increased the presence of their drone units in the region.
The occupiers are particularly interested in vehicles that can be identified by their appearance as belonging to the Defense Forces. There is also an increased risk of attacks near areas with large concentrations of vehicles, particularly near supermarkets, markets, and gas stations.
