On the night of December 12, the enemy attacked the DTEK Odesa Power Grids substation, which became the 20th in 2025 to suffer significant damage due to enemy shelling.

This was reported by the press service of DTEK Odesa Power Grids.

The facility of another energy company was also under attack. It will take time to restore the equipment and power lines to a working condition. As of this morning, power companies have reconnected almost 40,000 customers, while 91,900 families remain without electricity.

"After receiving permission from the military and rescuers, repair teams have started emergency repair work. Power engineers are dismantling the rubble, assessing the extent of the damage, and working on temporary repair schemes. The first priority is to supply power to critical infrastructure facilities. Power engineers throughout Odesa region are working in an intensive mode to ensure that every home has electricity as soon as possible," the company said.

Temporary interruptions in water supply to parts of the Peresypskyi district of Odesa and Odesa district occurred after a nighttime Russian attack on the city and region. Infoksvodokanal noted that due to the high capacity of the high-voltage pumping equipment, the use of autonomous power sources is not possible. After the power company restores centralized power supply, water supply will be resumed.

On December 12, the Odesa region was massively attacked by attack drones. Despite the active work of air defense forces, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged. Warehouses, an administrative building and a garage were also damaged. Fires broke out at the site and were extinguished by rescuers.

Meanwhile, the Operational Headquarters of the Izmail District Military Administration in Odesa Oblast announced that the residents of Reni have been connected to a permanent power supply. On the night of November 11, a Russian air attack in Odesa region resulted in one person being injured and a Ukrzaliznytsia depot being damaged. This time, the cities of Izmail and Reni came under attack. The latter is where the damaged depot is located. The city also lost power due to a fire at a substation. Local residents were told that the repairs would take up to two days. According to DTEK, 16,000 families were left without electricity.
