Russian troops attacked Odesa: a shopping center and Nova Poshta were damaged

In Odesa, a Russian drone hits a shopping center with shops, a pharmacy, and Nova Poshta. At least five cars caught fire as a result of the attack, there is damage to civilian infrastructure, and information about the victims is being clarified.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

"The Russian-backed forces have struck again in Odesa. On the afternoon of May 27, an enemy drone hit the area of a shopping center with shops, a pharmacy and a Nova Poshta branch.

According to information from the scene, the hit caused a fire, setting at least five cars on fire. Commercial premises were also damaged, including the Wines of the World store, a pharmacy and a branch of a logistics company.

Immediately after the impact, sirens sounded in the area, and ambulances, rescuers and fire brigades quickly arrived at the scene. There are preliminary reports of possible casualties among local residents, but their number and condition are currently being established.

The air alert in Odesa region was announced at 12:09. The alert was lifted at 13:15.

According to the monitoring channels, only one attack drone, flying at an ultra-low altitude, managed to break through to the city. The rest of the drones were allegedly destroyed by the air defense forces over the sea while approaching Odesa.

Emergency services continue to work at the site of the attack, inspecting the area, eliminating the consequences of the strike and providing assistance to the victims. The extent of the destruction and the final information on the victims are still being clarified.

On May 25, the Russians launched a combined missile and drone air attack that resulted in the death of one person and the injury of three others. The shock wave smashed about 50 windows in five houses. A school was also damaged, with 47 windows broken.
