Russian troops attacked Odesa: a shopping center and Nova Poshta were damaged

In Odesa, a Russian drone struck a shopping center containing stores, a pharmacy, and a Nova Poshta branch. At least five cars caught fire as a result of the attack; there is damage to civilian infrastructure, and information about the victims is being verified.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

"Russian-backed forces have struck again in Odesa. On the afternoon of May 27, an enemy drone struck the area of a shopping center containing stores, a pharmacy, and a Nova Poshta branch.

According to reports from the scene, the strike caused a fire, setting at least five cars ablaze. Commercial premises were also damaged, including the Wines of the World store, a pharmacy, and a branch of a logistics company.

Immediately after the strike, sirens sounded in the area, and ambulances, rescue workers, and fire crews quickly arrived at the scene. There are preliminary reports of possible casualties among local residents, but their number and condition are currently being determined.

The air raid alert in the Odesa region was announced at 12:09 p.m. The alert was lifted at 1:15 p.m.

According to monitoring sources, only one attack drone, flying at an extremely low altitude, managed to penetrate the city. The rest of the drones were reportedly destroyed by air defense forces over the sea as they approached Odesa.

Emergency services continue to work at the site of the attack, inspecting the area, clearing up the aftermath of the strike, and providing assistance to the victims. The extent of the damage and final information on the victims are still being determined.

On May 25, the Russians launched a combined missile and drone airstrike that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to three others. The shock wave shattered about 50 windows in five houses. A school was also damaged, with 47 windows broken.
