Russian shelling of Kherson region kills a man and damages an educational institution

On September 2, Tyahynka, Antonivka, Sadove, Shevchenkivka, Stanislav, Novodmitrivka, Prydniprovske, Kozatske, Zelenivka, Komyshany, Kizomys, Beryslav, Havrylivka, Novoraysk and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes by the Russian invading army in Kherson region. During a nighttime drone attack, the Air Defense Forces destroyed oneShahed-131/136 over the territory of Kherson region.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The post says that during the shelling of the liberated part of the Kherson region, the Russian occupiers hit a critical infrastructure facility, educational and cultural institutions, an administrative building and a church; residential areas of the region's settlements, including three high-rise buildings and 28 private houses. The invaders also damaged a gas pipeline, an outbuilding, a warehouse and private cars.

From 6:00 a.m. on September 2 to 6:00 a.m. on September 3, the Kherson city territorial community was shelled by Russian occupation forces 10 times. Damage was recorded in Kherson, Zelenivka, Komyshany, and Sadove. In particular, 30 private houses, three high-rise buildings, two administrative buildings, two cars, and a church were damaged.

As a result of Russian hostile shelling of the Kherson city territorial community, one person was killed and four, including a 14-year-old girl, sustained injuries of varying severity over the past day. The child was injured around 4:00 a.m. when Russian terrorists struck the central district of Kherson. She was hospitalized. The girl has contusion, closed head and explosive trauma, shrapnel wounds to the chest and both arms, pneumothorax. All the wounded are being provided with the necessary medical care.

The head of the JMA added that one person was killed and four others were injured as a result of Russian aggression, including one child. Thus, on September 2, 2024, at about 13:10, the Russian occupiers fired on Kindiyka in the Kherson district. As a result of the attack, a man and a woman were injured as they were on the street. They were taken to the hospital for medical care. The man later died in the hospital. He was wounded as a result of an explosive dropped from a drone.
