Russian Cadet Classes in Occupied Crimea: Youth Mobilization Efforts

There are eight "cadet classes" of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the TOT of the AR of Crimea. At the same time, there are fewer such classes in the real regions of Russia.

According to Golos Kryma, this was stated by the head of the "Main Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol" Vladimir Terentyev.

"Cadet classes of the Investigative Committee operate in Simferopol, Saki and Yevpatoria. The youngest - second and third graders - study in classes in Simferopol and Saki. They are proud to be involved. It's discipline, respect for the uniform, a lot of patriotism," the media quoted the occupation activist as saying.

In addition, Terentyev reminded that the "Vladimir Istomin Cadet Corps of the Russian Armed Forces" is "successfully" operating in occupied Sevastopol, and in occupied Luhansk in 2024, an "academy" and "cadet corps" of the Russian Armed Forces were opened, which, in particular, include young people from Crimea.

In general, on the occupied Crimean peninsula, the Russian occupiers conduct all kinds of propaganda activities for teenagers aimed at preparing young people for mobilization. The military of the enemy army speaks at them. In addition, the invaders are trying to recruit new so-called "volunteers" through universities, using blackmail and threats.

Students are also involved in the manufacture of camouflage nets for the Russian military. The occupation media claim that students weave these nets after school hours, allegedly on a voluntary basis. In addition, teenagers are involved in the manufacture of parts for Russian weapons, including components for drones and elements for charging Kalashnikov rifles. And in the temporarily occupied territories, the invaders create engineering classes where they teach teenagers to assemble drones for the needs of the Russian army. The classes are being opened with the support of the occupation administrations, including the so-called ministries of education. The Russians have already approved a program to expand the network of these classes by 2030.
