The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported that four aircraft were forced to take off because of the Russian Federation's nighttime attack on Odesa region.

According to the ministry's press service, at about 00:50, two F-16s from the 86th air base in Borcea took off to investigate the situation, and at about 2:35, two German Eurofighter Typhoon fighters took off from the 57th Mihail Kogelnicianu air base to carry out enhanced air patrol missions.

Approximately 10 explosions were reported on the Ukrainian coast, near the towns of Izmail and Kiliya, but no unmanned aerial vehicles were detected entering Romanian airspace.

Such incidents demonstrate the Russian Federation's disrespect for international law and jeopardize not only the safety of Romanian citizens, but also the collective security of NATO.

"Romania remains firmly committed to fulfilling its obligations as an Alliance member state and will continue to work closely with partners and allies to monitor and protect national airspace," the ministry said.

The enemy again massively attacked the energy and port infrastructure of the Izmail district of Odesa region on the night of November 4. Despite the active work of air defense, which destroyed most of the enemy targets, there were hits to civilian port and energy infrastructure.

Earlier, another Russian attack on the Odesa region on the night of November 2 resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries. Five trucks caught fire as a result of the strike, and the fire was quickly extinguished by rescuers. According to preliminary information, two people died and three others were injured. One of them was hospitalized. The man suffered thermal burns. Doctors are providing him with all the necessary assistance, his condition is moderate.

The night before, on October 30, Russians massively attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure. As a result, emergency power outages were introduced in many regions, including Odesa Oblast.
