Restoration of Izmail gymnasium damaged by enemy attack estimated at UAH 5 million

The Education Department of the Izmail City Council plans to restore gymnasium No. 14, damaged by a shahid attack, by October 30 this year.

This is stated in the procurement materials on the Prozorro website, Intent reports.

The customer chose the contractor to perform the work by signing a contract with him directly, without holding an auction. The contractor was once again Rodnik, a private enterprise owned by Izmail City Council member Igor Dekhtyarev. The cost of the works is UAH 4 million 890 thousand. The funds will be allocated as part of the city's program for the urgent restoration of housing damaged by Russian aggression. Technical supervision of the work will cost 60 thousand hryvnias.

According to the technical documentation, gymnasium No. 14 will dismantle damaged windows and doors, install new metal-plastic window and door blocks, install window sills and sills, and replace damaged double-glazed windows.

In addition, the internal slopes of the premises are to be repaired: they will be plastered, putty and painted. Some of the slopes will be covered with plasterboard. The works will also cover the facade of the building: the external slopes will be restored and painted, and scaffolding will be installed.

The building of gymnasium No. 14 was damaged as a result of an enemy attack on Izmail on the night of May 16. As a result, students were transferred to distance learning.

On the night of May 16, Russians attacked the south of Odesa region, including the city of Izmail. In addition, a one-story residential building was damaged, and two people were injured. The attack also damaged the port infrastructure, including a warehouse and an administrative building. Glass was smashed in the facilities. Debris fell on the territory of an educational institution.
