Residents of the Odesa region paid half a billion more for utilities than they were billed

<span><span><span><span><span><span>In the second quarter of 2026, residents of the Odesa region paid 502,287,900 hryvnias more for utilities than they were billed. Thus, the payment rate for housing and utility services by the population was 116.3 percent.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>This was reported by the Main Department of Statistics in the Odesa region.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

At the same time,<span><span><span><span><span><span>the population’s debt for apartment building management services totaled 650,179,500 hryvnias. </span></span></span></span></span></span>Residents of the Odesa region owed 361,968,200 hryvnias<span><span><span><span><span><span>for centralized</span></span></span></span></span></span>water supply and sewer services. Debts for household waste management totaled 144,396,800 hryvnias.

Earlier, the Odesa region led the country in revenue from parking fees for the first seven months of 2026. Local budgets in the region received 46.5 million hryvnias.

In total, 136.5 million hryvnias inparking fees were paid into local budgets from January through July 2026. This is 14.1% more than during the same period last year, when revenue totaled 119.7 million hryvnias.

At the same time, as of June 1, 2026, wage arrears at enterprises in the Odesa region totaled 358 million 63 thousand hryvnias. Most of these enterprises are located in the Odesa district. That area accounts for 91.1% of the arrears—that is, 326 million hryvnias.
