Mykolaiv residents owe over UAH 380 million to utility companies for heating. If these funds were paid, the repair of heating networks would be faster.

This was reported by Yevhen Gladkov, Head of the Housing and Utilities Department of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

The city's debt for heat supply services to PJSC Mykolaiv CHP and Mykolaivoblteploenergo is UAH 386.9 million.

According to Yevgeniy Gladkov, this is a significant figure. If these funds were at the disposal of the enterprises and were used to upgrade equipment and carry out major repairs, the level of heat supply reliability would be much higher.

As of the beginning of August, the debt to Mykolaiv CHP is UAH 117 million, and to Mykolaivoblteploenergo - UAH 253.9 million.

The latter recently stated that the debt amounted to UAH 137 million. The company noted that the situation with heat payments remains tense today. For those who have already accumulated debts, there is a possibility of entering into a restructuring agreement that allows them to repay the debt in installments.

As of April 2024, almost 500 claims for debt collection for heat supply services in Mykolaiv were filed. In 2023, the number of such applications exceeded 1,000. The heat supply company noted that work is being carried out with debtors of all consumption groups - households, budgetary institutions, self-supporting organizations, etc.

According to the company, since the beginning of 2024, more than 50 debt restructuring agreements have been concluded with individuals and legal entities. Last year - more than 300.

In total, the number of utility debtors in the south of the country is 49,515 consumers. Debts for utilities have increased by one third since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Mykolaiv region leads the country's southern regions with 29,341 debtors. Odesa region ranks second with 14,854 debtors. Kherson region is in third place with only 5,320 debtors.
