The public organization "Tenth of April" has introduced a ticket reimbursement program for residents of Kherson region who leave dangerous settlements.

This was reported on February 13 on the website of the Novokakhovka MVA.

The organization offers a one-time financial assistance to reimburse the cost of travel by rail or bus. The maximum amount of payment is 4 thousand hryvnias per person. It should be noted that the support program does not cover flights, taxi rides, or fuel costs for private cars.

The most vulnerable categories of citizens who are forced to evacuate can take advantage of this opportunity. The assistance is aimed at supporting the elderly, people with disabilities, pregnant women and families with children. In addition, people who find themselves in a difficult financial situation or have critical medical and healthcare needs can apply for the payments.

Earlier in the week, the Deputy Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration Olga Malyarchuk took part in a regular meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for evacuation measures and effective response to mass displacement.

"The security situation in Kherson region remains difficult due to the daily terror of the enemy. During the first day of 2026, Russian troops have already fired more than 360 shells at the region. Over the past year, the occupiers have used more than 234 thousand shells to strike the region's settlements. Therefore, evacuations in Kherson region are carried out systematically. Since the de-occupation of the right bank, more than 51,000 people have been evacuated, including more than 7,000 children and more than 550 people with limited mobility. Over the past week, 23 people were evacuated. The mandatory evacuation now covers 50 settlements in the region that are under constant shelling," the statement said.
