Residents of Kherson region again targeted by the enemy: destroyed homes, lives taken

Over 40 settlements in the Kherson region came under fire over the past 24 hours. One person was killed and 17 others were wounded in the attacks.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

At least 48 settlements in Kherson region came under enemy fire on July 8-9. Among them are Beryslav, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Tyahynka, Antonivka, Kozatske and the city of Kherson.

The Russians attacked residential areas and infrastructure: three high-rise buildings, ten private houses, a farm, a garage and several cars were damaged. One person was killed and 17 others were wounded in the attack.

In the morning in Kherson, two men, aged 73 and 47, were wounded in an attack by Russian drones. Both received explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds to various parts of their bodies.

On the night of June 8, Russian troops shelled the Korabelny district of Kherson with artillery. Private houses were damaged - roofs and walls were destroyed, windows and doors were smashed.

At about 08:30, the enemy attacked a civilian car in the central part of the city with a drone - a 51-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man were injured. Another UAV attack took place at around 09:50, injuring two women aged 54 and 50 and a 75-year-old man. At that time, they were near a store. As a result of the attack, 76- and 58-year-old women from Kherson sustained explosive injuries.

At about 09:40, Russians shelled Novokaira of the Milivska community, setting the building of a local educational institution on fire. After 14:30, the enemy attacked a civilian car in Bilozerka, injuring two men - a 52-year-old and a 63-year-old, the latter suffered an explosive injury and a broken shoulder.

Another drone strike was recorded at 16:20 in Kherson - a 51-year-old man was wounded, he suffered shrapnel wounds to the neck and chest.

In total, at least 39 settlements in the Kherson region came under enemy fire between July 6 and 7. Two multi-storey buildings, 21 private houses, a gas station, and several cars, including a State Emergency Service vehicle, were damaged. Two civilians were killed and nine others were wounded.
