Rescuers have suspended the search for a young man who disappeared on July 28 in Chornomorsk, Odesa region, while swimming in the sea.

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast, 111.2 thousand square meters of seabed were surveyed during the search, 47 thousand of which were surveyed with a drone and 78 kilometers of coastline.

The boy was not found.

On the morning of July 29, rescuers began searching for a young man who went missing during a storm from the central beach of Chornomorsk in Odesa Oblast. According to the rescuers, in the evening of July 28, they received a report that a boy born in 2009 had disappeared into the sea on the city's central beach. Due to the weather conditions - strong winds and large waves - it was impossible for the diving department to conduct search operations. Therefore, the search began in the morning.

Also on July 28, the police confirmed the information about the death of two people on the beach, and the mayor of Chornomorsk, Vasyl Gulyayev, said that on that day, rescuers pulled 50 people out of the water, including 10 children.

Earlier, one child died and four others were hospitalized due to a falling tree in the town of Balta, Podil district, Odesa region. The teenagers were vacationing by the river. Bad weather started, strong winds rose, and a tree fell on the tent where the teenagers were staying. Rescuers arrived at the scene and rescued four children from under the tree and handed them over to medics. Unfortunately, the fifth child could not be saved.

In February, police and rescuers spent several hours searching for three teenagers who had fallen through the ice in a rural pond in Odesa Oblast. Prior to that, rescuers switched to a passive phase in the search for a man who disappeared on February 6 at night after falling overboard from a ship in the port of Reni, Odesa region.
