In Odesa, a fire broke out in a three-story residential building on Kanatna Street. The fire engulfed several apartments on the second and third floors, spreading rapidly through combustible structures.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene. Thanks to their coordinated actions, firefighters managed to localize the fire and prevent it from spreading to other apartments. While extinguishing the fire, the rescuers saved three residents of the building, as well as their pets - a cat and a dog. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked with the residents who had experienced severe stress. According to preliminary information, no one was injured or killed. The fire was extinguished using 11 vehicles and 46 rescuers. The circumstances of the fire are under investigation.

In March, a fire at a toy warehouse in Odesa caused UAH 600,000 in environmental damage. Carbon dioxide emissions into Odesa's atmosphere due to the fire in the warehouse amounted to almost 206 tons. More than 100 rescuers, volunteers, firefighters from the National Guard of Ukraine and local fire brigades were responding to the fire. According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured.

As a result of the shelling of Peresypsky district on February 19, administrative and warehouse buildings caught fire, covering 1,000 square meters. Almost 80 tons of carbon dioxide, a substance that accelerates global warming, was released into the air.

The calculated damage caused by air pollution reached UAH 242 thousand. All the data has already been submitted to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine to be included in the unified register of environmental damage caused by military aggression.
