Kherson reported on the financing and implementation of projects to restore critical infrastructure.

Dmytro Butrii, First Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, spoke about the allocation of public funds.

According to him, in 2023, the Government provided Kherson region with UAH 103 million in subventions for the restoration and development of the region.

Among the projects that received funding were the construction of sewage treatment plants in Vysokopillya, the overhaul of the Barvinok kindergarten with the construction of a shelter, and the reconstruction of the Vysokopillya school with the construction of a protective structure.

However, as the official noted, due to the complexity of the procedure for developing design estimates and tenders, most projects could not be implemented in 2023. Only 1.2 million hryvnias were spent during the year. The rest of the funds were returned to the budget.

In 2024, funding for the completion of the work was restored. Currently, UAH 9.5 million has been raised for the construction of treatment facilities in Vysokopillya. The works are ongoing, but their implementation is complicated by constant shelling.

In addition, 23 pieces of equipment were purchased for the community's utilities using the subvention funds. These include forklifts, garbage trucks, towers and dump trucks. The equipment has already been handed over to the communities and is helping to restore critical infrastructure. According to Dmitry Butriy, more than UAH 90 million was spent for this purpose.

Earlier, philanthropists donated half a million hryvnias worth of equipment to restore water supply in the region. The project provides materials for repairing emergency sections of water supply networks in Urozhayne, Rakivske and other villages. Urozhayne, Rakivka and Taras Shevchenko villages.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated over UAH 44 million to support medical facilities in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. These funds were redistributed from the general fund of the state budget to finance the program of the Ministry of Health.

The renovation of medical facilities continues. For example, one of the hospitals is nearing completion of the shelter construction. Volunteers from the local Dobrobat chapter are helping to carry out the repairs. Now, instead of damp rooms, there are comfortable and modern wards for patients, as well as a small gym.
