The prosecutor's office has opened proceedings over a nighttime attack by Russian drones on civilian infrastructure in Odesa region.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

They noted that prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, experts continue to inspect the sites where the drones crashed and compile a full list of destruction and damage.

According to investigators, the attack damaged at least 20 private houses, a gas station operator's building, outbuildings and cars. A 74-year-old man was injured.

DTEK Odesa Power Grids clarified that on the night of September 13, during a night attack by Russian proxies, power lines in Odesa region were damaged, leaving almost 14,000 families without electricity.

As of the morning, power engineers managed to restore electricity, however, repair work is still ongoing.

As a reminder, the nighttime Russian attack on Odesa region lasted over 2 hours. As a result of the air battle, air defense forces managed to destroy 16 drones in Odesa region.

The wreckage of the downed UAVs fell on the streets of the city.

"They almost hit my window. Miraculously, no one was injured. Interestingly, a couple of seconds before the 'landing' the sound was so loud that I only had time to think: "It's over. How ridiculous," the Odesa resident said about her feelings during the attack.

Earlier, the Russian military attacked a civilian ship in the Black Sea that was transporting wheat to Egypt.

On the night of September 12, Zmiinyi Island in Odesa region was again targeted by Russian invaders. Thus, two X-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft were fired from the airspace over the Black Sea.

On the night of September 11, the Russian occupation forces fired six X-31P anti-radar missiles from tactical aircraft in the direction of Zmiyiny Island.

The day before, on the night of September 10, Russian troops also attacked Zmeinyi using an X-31 guided missile.
