The first residents rescued from occupied Oleshky went to stay with their relatives after being discharged from the hospitals. Government agencies and volunteers continue to provide comprehensive medical, social, and psychological assistance to other evacuated citizens.

This was reported by Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets.

The Ombudsman emphasized that those who were discharged were specifically people who have relatives or acquaintances in territory controlled by Ukraine.

Dmytro Lubinets noted that employees of the Kyiv Center for Administrative Services visited the Oleshky residents who remained in the hospital to finalize their IDP certificates. They were also visited by employees of the Pension Fund of Ukraine to prepare documents for living assistance for internally displaced persons.

Dmytro Lubinets also reported that the people had been provided with essential items (cell phones, clothing, and personal hygiene products) from the very beginning. Right there at the hospital, arrangements were made for them to obtain bank cards, identification codes, and passports.

The Ombudsman noted that people were given living allowances as well as additional assistance. In particular, those who needed to purchase eyeglasses received 3,000 hryvnias each.

Lubinec also spoke about plans to provide housing for the evacuees. According to him, temporary housing options have been arranged for those who are unable to stay with relatives. He reported that as early as next week, efforts will begin to help people travel to the regions of Ukraine of their choice and settle there. He added that arrangements are being made to care for people with limited mobility and to ensure their long-term housing.
