Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces killed a resident of the Kherson region and wounded nine others

Over the past day, Russian troops shelled Kherson and more than 40 settlements in the region. In particular, Beryslav, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Zelenivka, Kyselivka, Stanislav, Chaychyne, Tyahynka, and other communities came under enemy drone attacks and artillery strikes.

According toOleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the occupiers targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. As a result of the attacks, a high-rise building, 22 private homes, a cell tower, a gas pipeline, outbuildings, agricultural equipment, and a private car were damaged.

One person was killed and nine others were injured as a result of the Russian aggression.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office clarified that a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the Russian shelling under the article on war crimes.

According to the investigation, on June 20, the Russian army used artillery, mortars, and attack drones. In the village of Chaychyne, a 41-year-old man was killed and two others were injured as a result of a drone attack.

In addition, five civilians were injured in Russian UAV attacks in Zelenivka and Kyselivka. Law enforcement officials also documented damage to private homes and vehicles. Prosecutors, together with investigators, continue to document the consequences of Russian strikes and gather evidence of war crimes.

Over the past day, nine people were evacuated from liberated communities in the Kherson region. Residents of frontline settlements are being urged to leave for safer regions.

Earlier, Russian forces attacked a commuter bus with a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson. One man was killed in the strike, and two others, including the driver, were injured.
