In the Odesa region, 680 new companies were registered during this period, and in the Mykolaiv region, 258.

Overall, according to the Unified State Register, nearly 20,000 new companies were registered in Ukraine during the first half of 2026. This is 8% more than during the same period in 2025 and the highest figure in the last three years. There were 6,563 company dissolutions over the six-month period. This is 28% more than during the corresponding period last year. The net increase amounted to 13,195 companies.

The largest increase in the number of companies was recorded in Kyiv (+5,338 companies). Lviv Oblast ranked second (+1,220), and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast ranked third (+1,177).

Previously, Odesa Oblast was among the top five regions in Ukraine with the highest number of accountants preparing financial statements for businesses. It is worth noting that the vast majority of these professionals work for only one company. Another 8,612 professionals served between two and four companies. Only 250 accountants handled between five and nine companies, and just 29 specialists nationwide managed ten or more. On average, one accountant worked with 1.2 companies—a figure that has remained virtually unchanged for five consecutive years.
