Olympic champion from Odesa sold her saber and donated funds to the Armed Forces

At a boxing charity dinner, the saber of the famous Olympic fencing champion Olena Kravatska was auctioned off.

The athlete posted the information on her Instagram page.

The real combat saber was sold for 230,000 hryvnias.

"Half of these funds will be transferred to the Chimera unit, which is now defending Ukraine on the front line. The other half will go to help children from orphanages. - Elena writes on her page. - "Together with the Energy of Kindness organization, we will buy and deliver everything we need to the places where it is really needed."

<b>Olena Kravatska</b> was born in Chervnivtsi. She is the 2024 Olympic champion and silver medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in team sabre, winner of the World and European Championships.

She represents the Odesa regional organization of the Dynamo Football Club.

She was awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the second class for achieving high sports results at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

And the same Order of the third degree <i>forachieving</i>high sports results at the XXXI Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Federative Republic of Brazil) in 2016, for showing courage, dedication and will to win, and for establishing Ukraine's international authority<span>.</span>
