Vyacheslav Kharkavenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority", announced the launch of the traffic management module of the DocPort logistics port system in the Odesa seaport in a test mode.
According to the press service of the Sea Ports Authority, this happened during the Freight Forwarders Updates 2025 forum organized by the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine.
The module is already in operation in the Danube ports and the port of Chornomorsk. The system allows transport process participants to plan calls more efficiently, simplifies the procedure for issuing passes, increases throughput and speeds up cargo handling.
According to Viacheslav Kharkavenko, the Sea Window module will be launched as part of DocPort in June this year. Its functionality is developed in accordance with IMO standards and provides for the transition from paper-based document management to electronic data exchange between ships and coastal services. This should significantly reduce the time required to process vessel arrivals and departures, reduce port downtime, and increase the intensity of cargo operations.
Earlier, the Odesa branch of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority" announced the search for a contractor to be paid for the overhaul of the port's main accounting building and canteen No. 2. The Odesa branch of the state enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority is also looking for a contractor to overhaul roads in the port. This is the first stage of construction, and according to the adjusted project, it is planned to spend UAH 11 million 419 thousand on road repairs.
In addition, the Odesa branch of the USPA has selected a company that will overhaul the railroad tracks in the port for more than UAH 50 million.
