The Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support commented on the incident with the mobilization of the father of a girl who was injured in a road accident involving a police officer in Tatarbunary.

The regional CCC reported that the man was brought from the police department because he was wanted.

"After clarifying the citizen's military registration data, he was sent to undergo a military medical examination. While undergoing the medical examination, he complained of a sharp deterioration in his health, and an emergency medical team was called to the scene. According to the results of the examination, the citizen was immediately hospitalized in a health care facility," the TCC said.

They also emphasized that the man was not beaten, and noted that his mobilization had nothing to do with the road accident. The TCC also emphasized that the arguments that the man is a father of many children are groundless.

"According to the current legislation, the grounds for deferral are the maintenance of three or more minor children, which is confirmed by officially executed documents. No such documents were provided at the time the relevant protocol was drawn up. In addition, we note that one of the three children is legally under the custody of the other parent, which makes it impossible to apply the rule on large families as a ground for deferral," the TCC emphasized.

Meanwhile, the police initiated an internal investigation into the accident involving an officer of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district department. The policewoman was suspended from duty for the duration of the internal investigation.

The incident occurred on April 29 at around 17:00 in the city of Tatarbunary. It has been established that the police officer hit a 7-year-old local girl while she was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

According to the police, the girl was examined by doctors, received minor abrasions, and was released home. The driver's sobriety test showed that she was sober.
