Odesa region is among the top three regions where companies with foreign investments are opening.
This is stated in the report of the Opendatabot service.
The report says that almost half of the total number of companies with foreign owners were registered in Kyiv - 1517. Citizens of Uzbekistan most often set up businesses in the capital - 175 companies. Lviv region follows Kyiv with 460 businesses. According to the publication, foreigners from Poland most often settle here (105 companies). Odesa region is also in the top three, with 273 companies. In this region, Turkish citizens are the most likely to set up companies - 99 businesses.
In general, it is noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, foreigners from 101 countries have opened 3075 companies in Ukraine.
Citizens are the most frequent business owners in Ukraine: Turkey - 396 companies (12.9% of the total); Uzbekistan - 312 companies (10.1% of the total) and Poland - 224 companies (7.3% of the total).

The Top 10 also includes citizens of the United States, Kazakhstan, Germany, Azerbaijan, Israel, the United Kingdom, and China. Opendatabot noted that one company may have more than one owner.
The largest number of companies with foreign owners is engaged in wholesale trade - 30.7%, real estate transactions - 6.7% and computer programming - 5.8%.
Earlier it was reported that in 2023, almost 305 thousand new sole proprietorships were opened in Ukraine. This is more than 105 thousand more than in 2022 (the first year of Russia's open armed aggression against Ukraine) and almost 20 thousand more than in the pre-war year of 2021. The most popular areas for new companies were wholesale trade, NGOs, and social assistance.
