Odesa region experienced more than 800 air raids a year

In 2024, air raid sirens sounded 814 times in Odesa region. In total, 1828 alarms have been sounded since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to December 31, 2024.

This data was published by alerts.in.ua, an online resource that records information about air alerts in Ukraine.

On average, one air alert in Odesa region lasted about an hour last year. The longest alert, which lasted 7 hours and 36 minutes, was recorded from April 10 to April 11, 2024, when it began at 23:13.

From the beginning of the great war on February 24, 2022, to December 31, 2024, the site's data shows 1828 air raids in Odesa region.

Most often, sirens sounded on Mondays, and the peak of alarms was at 23:00.

In 2024, the media reported 273 explosions, 171 of them in Odesa.

On December 31, Russian troops fired a missile at the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region. A cruise missile hit damaged the administrative building of a local agricultural company and injured a 29-year-old man.

On the night of December 30, Odesa region was also targeted by Russian drones. The shelling resulted in damaged buildings.

On the morning of December 25, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine using various types of weapons. Energy infrastructure, in particular DTEK thermal power plants, came under attack. The equipment at the plant was severely damaged.

Recently, environmentalists calculated the environmental damage caused by the Russian attack in Odesa region on December 14. Critical infrastructure facilities were damaged.

On the morning of December 13, a series of powerful explosions occurred in Odesa. The Russians attacked the city with missiles.
